The purpose and principles of the battery discharge test system

2022-12-30

The purpose of the battery detection system is to improve the charging efficiency and realize the recycling of discharge energy. It is mainly used in material research, formation, capacity testing, cycle life testing and battery testing of power and hybrid electric vehicles, such as power lithium batteries, super capacitors, and nickel-metal hydride batteries.

The purpose and principles of the battery discharge test system

Before installation and use, the equipment file card (workshop, equipment department) must be established to hang the equipment warranty card. The battery module charge and discharge test system is a large-scale equipment. Users and maintenance personnel must undergo strict pre-job training, pass the exam and hold a certificate. . Strictly follow the requirements of the company to conduct regular training and on-site guidance for operators and maintenance personnel, so that they know the handling measures in emergency situations and the on-site analysis and judgment of hidden troubles. Not less than 4 credit hours per year.

The performance parameters of the battery detection system mainly include cooling capacity, intake pressure, exhaust pressure, intake temperature, exhaust temperature, motor speed, current, voltage, etc. (see the manual for details). The battery module charging and discharging test system must be used within the performance range specified in the manual. If any parameter is not within the specified range, the system and the equipment itself should be strictly checked until the normal use conditions are reached.

The battery detection system is a high-voltage power supply, and the pure electric vehicle or HEV vehicle is a high-voltage circuit, so incorrect operation may cause electric shock or leakage. During the leakage detection process of the power battery pack system, the following principles must be followed.

1. Disconnect the power supply when operating the power battery pack system or high-voltage circuit

1). Be sure to wear insulating gloves.

2). When testing on the vehicle, first remove the negative and positive connections of the power battery pack system.

3). Pull out the handle of the emergency maintenance switch, and place the handle of the emergency maintenance switch in the position where a special person takes care of it to prevent misoperation by other personnel.

2. Precautions for using insulating gloves

1). Never wear wet gloves.

2). Gloves must be inspected for damage, holes or cracks before use.

3). Always wear insulating gloves during the operation of the entire power battery pack system or high-voltage circuit.

3. Matters needing attention when testing

1). Be sure to disconnect the power supply before starting work.

2). To operate the power battery pack system or high-voltage circuit, you need to wear insulating gloves and use insulating gloves. Please refer to the precautions for insulating gloves.

3). Do not carry any metal objects like calipers or measuring tapes, etc., as these objects may fall and cause a short circuit.

4). After removing the high-voltage wiring, immediately insulate it with insulating tape.

5). After the operation is completed, it should be confirmed again that there are no parts or tools left around the working platform, and that the high-voltage terminals are protected by insulation.

The above is the "purpose of using the battery discharge test system and the principles to be followed". Only by using the battery discharge test system correctly can we achieve the effect of its use.
